As the Vice President, Transportation Sales and Services, you will drive the expansion of existing strategic and priority accounts, handle creative work pipelines with other lines of business, increase market share and achieve revenue and volume growth goals. What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Identify and engage with target prospective customers within your designated segment to drive new business opportunities
  • Own the achievement of the sales target for the AMAPAC region for all transporation service sales, with direct engagement and accountability to the customer and the results.
  • Represent GXO as a subject matter expert across our comprehensive suites of capabilities
  • Lead pursuit teams for initial customer engagement through contracting by managing RFI/RFPs and the proposal process, ensuring alignment with customer needs and delivering high-quality submissions
  • Develop and define the commercial strategy, aligning proposals to address customer challenges and empathizing GXO's unique value proposition.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for SAMs, other sales professionals, and executives
What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 10 years sales or account management experience in the logistics & transportation industry with a strong track record for driving revenue growth
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM
  • Exceptional public speaking, presentation and writing abilities
  • A proven track record of carrying and meeting a sales quota and managing mid-sized and enterprise transportation deals
  • Expertise in the Transportation space: Managed Transportation, Brokerage, Asset Based Fleets, LTL/FTL, Drayage, Ocean, Air, Rail, Truck, and Parcel & Last Mile Delivery
It'd be great if you also have:
  • MBA
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends; travel as needed
  • Ability to work seamlessly with operations and execute initiatives
  • Solid ability to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships both internally and externally
