1st Shift:

5: 30 am to 2: 00 pm

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Ensures reliability of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance on machinery and systems.
  • Performs tasks including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, engineering specifications, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Use hand tools and measuring instruments to determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts.
  • Assembles, installs, adjusts, and calibrates mechanical and electrical machinery and equipment. Dismantles, repairs, rebuilds, and replaces equipment and parts as needed.
  • Adheres to all plant safety policies. Participates in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, Operational Excellence, and Lean Manufacturing programs.
  • Provides assistance and guidance to junior maintenance colleagues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Execute preventive Maintenance to machines and electrical cabinets such as clean up electrical cabinets, re-tight all electrical terminals, replace damaged devices, organize cables, ensure all components are perfectly grounded, replace bad sensors, replace control and power cables going to the field.
  • Manage Work orders on eMaint platform to report all executed tasks on the machines.
  • Must be familiar with Programable Logic Controllers (PLC), must be able to diagnose bad input/Output card.
  • Execute predictive maintenance to Main power cabinets using thermographic camera.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults on machines and electrical devices.
  • Root cause analysis for major breakdowns on machines.
  • Replace and configure Servo drives, VFD’s and HMI’s.
  • Replace and Troubleshoot 480 VAC motors, 120 Vac motors.
  • Replace and troubleshoot servo motors.

Education and Experience

  • Typically possesses a high school diploma, a college degree or technical training, such as Industrial Maintenance Technician, Industrial Maintenance Electrician, Automation

  • Technician, Instrumentation Technician, Mechatronics Technician.

  • 5+ years of recent experience in an industrial/manufacturing maintenance position required.

  • Preferred-Electrician Industrial License

Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrates ability to select and operate appropriate hand, power and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment to complete job tasks.
  • Possesses an operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery, and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Demonstrates ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and work orders.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate issues and solutions to team members.
  • Familiar with PNP and NPN sensors, as well as analogical and digital control signals.
  • Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Logical reasoning.
  • Possesses the ability to troubleshoot, disassemble, and reassemble manufacturing equipment.
  • Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively under limited supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.
  • Familiar with NFPA 70 Electrical codes.
  • Proficient in electrical prints interpretation, for replacing and troubleshooting devices.
  • Experience calculating and replacing main Circuit breakers.
  • Familiar with Arc flash/ Arc blast concepts.
  • Familiar with machine manual/drawings to execute preventive maintenance and order parts needed for corrective and preventive maintenance.
  • Familiar with at least one software for PLC troubleshooting/Programing (RSLogix 5000, TIA Portal, STUDIO 5000, SIMATIC Manager, etc.).
  • Familiar with Profibus, Ethernet, and PROFINET Networks.
  • Experience troubleshooting Automatic machines.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Must be proficiency on written and speaking English, Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Familiar with Maintenance concepts (Corrective, Predictive and preventive).
  • Experience with CMMS Software.

Compensation Range:

The pay for this position is $41.33 per hour. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
