The Basics of a Collections Representative III: Full-Time, Non-ExemptSchedule: Monday - Friday from 8: 00 am to 5: 00 pmHybrid Position - After the initial training period, a hybrid work model will become an option. You will be requested to work 4 days on-site and 1 day remote.Allowing for a blend of remote and onsite work based on performance and departmental needs.Location: Headquarters - Austin, TX About the Role Do you enjoy solving complex problems while helping people get back on track financially? As our Collections Representative III, you'll play a key role in protecting the credit union while delivering compassionate, solution-focused service to our members. You'll manage complex delinquent accounts, negotiate repayment solutions, support repossessions and bankruptcy processes, mentor teammates, and serve as a trusted resource for the Collections team. Whats In It For You Hybrid work flexibility after trainingOpportunity to mentor and support team developmentCareer growth within a stable financial institutionCollaborative and supportive team environmentMeaningful work helping members achieve financial successCompetitive pay and comprehensive benefits Key Responsibilities Manage early- and late-stage delinquent loan, credit card, and share accountsNegotiate repayment arrangements and recommend appropriate recovery solutionsHandle complex accounts involving bankruptcies, repossessions, skip tracing, and legal referralsProcess insurance and skip claims while maintaining accurate documentationServe as a subject matter expert and mentor junior Collections RepresentativesAnalyze collection trends and prepare operational reportsPartner with internal departments and third-party vendors to improve collection strategiesEnsure compliance with all applicable credit union policies and regulatory requirements Other Duties Support ongoing process improvements to increase efficiencyComplete required compliance and professional development trainingMaintain compliance with BSA/AML and Fair Debt Collection Practices requirementsPerform additional duties to support the Collections team as business needs evolve
