Georgia-Pacific is now hiring Shipping Team Lead to join our Corrugated facility in Waxahachie, TX! The Shipping Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations in the shipping and receiving offices.

Compensation:
  • Starting wage: $26.27-$28.33; determined based on experience
  • 2nd Shift Differential - $2.00/hour

Shift :
  • Currently hiring for 2nd shift (3: 00pm-11: 00pm)
  • Overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed

What You Will Do
  • Coordinate shipment of materials to support production operations
  • Review sales orders, customer demand, & develop daily customer shipping plan
  • Meet with materials and planning teams to review customer demand to ensure on-time deliveries
  • Be connected with and constantly monitor On-time and In-Full shipments
  • Coordinate the scheduling of inbound shipments, oversee the receipt of incoming material, and perform incoming inspection
  • Coordinate outbound small package, LTL, and dedicated shipments including all required documentation
  • Inspect orders for accuracy, perform quality checks, and generate reports
  • Work with the shipping team to manage inventory flow
  • Conduct monthly physical inventory counts
  • Dispatch work to the forklift drivers on the warehouse floor and assist loaders with questions
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of our inventory control processes, shipping and receiving records, and order processes
  • Identify and implement improvements to workflow processes and standard operating procedures
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Two (2) years or more experience as a Fulfillment or Warehouse Lead in a distribution and/or manufacturing environment
  • Experience performing the entire order process (receive an order/ pull the order/prepare the order for shipment/ shipment)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word


What Will Put You Ahead
  • One (1) year or more of experience operating a forklift, clamp truck, or other similar type of equipment
  • Experience with Material Requirement Planning systems
