Key Job Responsibilities: Customer Engagement & Sales: - Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers in the commercial building market.
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities within assigned territories\
- Conduct face-to-face meetings, site visits, and presentations to prospective customers.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closing, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely follow-ups.
- Product Knowledge & Technical Sales:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Cougar USA's water pressure, level, temperature, flow, and quality control systems.
- Provide technical support and solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Deliver product demonstrations and communicate technical aspects of Cougar's products
Account Management: - Plan and execute sales strategies for assigned accounts.
- Monitor competitive trends, customer needs
Close Leads (ABC!): - Maintain a proactive approach to closing deals efficiently. Always Be Closing by ensuring follow-up on all leads and sales activities.
Maintain & Develop Product Knowledge: Regularly participate in training and maintain up-to-date knowledge of Cougar's product offerings and solutions to provide accurate information and solutions to customers.
Maintain Customer Relationships & Network: - Continue building and maintaining relationships with key contractors, service providers, and customers in the commercial building market, ensuring Cougar is positioned as their preferred solution provider.
Lead Generation: - Utilize sales tools and CRM platforms to generate new business opportunities through cold calls, site visits, and networking.
Proposal Development: - Prepare and deliver sales proposals and presentations tailored to customer needs, demonstrating how Cougar's products and services meet those needs.
Contract Negotiations: - Engage with decision-makers to finalize agreements and ensure contract terms align with Cougar's business goals while delivering value to the customer.
Post-Sales Support: - Provide post-sales support, conducting pre and post-installation site walks.
- Work closely with the operations and service teams to ensure seamless delivery, installation, and service, maintaining ultimate customer satisfaction
Required Qualifications: Experience: - 3-5 years of outside sales experience, preferably in technical sales or the commercial building industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Skills & Competencies: - Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Highly organized with effective time management and multi-tasking abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently to achieve goals.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a sales team and contribute to overall team success
- Analytical skills to provide problem-solving solutions for customers.
- Proficient in using CRM systems (NetSuite preferred), Microsoft Office, and other sales tools.
Technical Knowledge: - Ability to develop a strong technical understanding of water control systems, plumbing systems, and other relevant products.
- Capable of providing technical product demonstrations and customer support as needed.
Education: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Other Requirements: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
