Summary

Pumps & Controls is seeking a Junior Engineer with strong proficiency in SolidWorks to support our engineering and production teams in the design, development, and documentation of mechanical components and assemblies. This is a hands-on role ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a passion for mechanical design, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems.
  • Assist in the development of Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical documentation, and manufacturing instructions.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, production staff, and procurement teams to ensure designs are functional, cost-effective, and manufacturable.
  • Revise and update existing designs based on feedback, engineering changes, or production needs.
  • Participate in product development projects, R& D efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support testing and validation of new designs or components as needed.
  • Maintain file management and version control within the company's document control systems.
  • Ensure adherence to company design standards and industry best practices.


Requirements & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field (or relevant technical associate degree with experience).
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (required); familiarity with PDM systems is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, tolerancing, and fabrication processes.
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
  • Willingness to take direction, ask questions, and contribute ideas to engineering challenges.
  • Familiarity with pumps, fluid systems, or industrial manufacturing is a plus but not required.
