About the Role:

Program Manager possesses the business acumen and technical knowledge to provide leadership, oversight, expertise, and direction to multiple projects. Program Manager effectively manages and influences stakeholder expectations to accomplish business objectives. Program Manager gathers relevant information and responds to project challenges while demonstrating the flexibility and breadth of understanding necessary to support the overall project and/or program. Program Manager will drive successful project execution within scope, budget and schedule while maintaining an ongoing dialogue with stakeholders regarding project health, strategic impact and emerging opportunities.

You Will:

  • Participate in the development and implementation of an IT Project and Program Management framework to more effectively manage technology programs and projects.
  • Provide oversight, expertise and direction to Project Managers and project teams to standardize project management practices; this includes, but not limited to, providing oversight and ability to influence activities on critical projects/programs from the conceptual phase through implementation.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of a framework to improve communications, especially to executive leaders.
  • Proactively monitor and control all aspects of projects/programs and provides consistent status reporting for the overall project/program health, such as scope, financials, schedule, risks, issues, business user satisfaction, and barriers to success.
  • Escalate risks/issues appropriately, formulate and present recommendations to drive decision making.
  • Provide support to procurement process and vendor management.
  • Govern and monitor projects/programs execution to ensure consistent adoption of processes, tools and guidelines.
  • Ensure projects adhere to the FR System Technology standards and processes; this includes, but is not limited to, providing administration of repeatable, effective and efficient project management practices and driving process improvement and simplification.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 7 years of IT project management experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of IT program management experience.
  • Experience in establishing project management practice preferred.
  • Certified Project Management Professional or Program Management Professional preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – with emphasis on the ability to clearly communicate program information (including status, project financials, progress, issues, expectations and deliverables) effectively to various stakeholders (including team members, sponsors, customers, vendors, and senior management among other program stakeholders).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to establish and maintain credibility with all levels of management and promote and cultivate quality.
  • Excellent ability to work with others in order to achieve a common goal, resolve conflicts and manage cross-functional and external relationships; demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence across organizational and management structures.
  • Equivalent education and or experience may be substituted for any of the above.

This role allows for the employee to work in a hybrid manner with some work conducted onsite at the Federal Reserve work location and some work conducted remotely. Specific schedule details will be discussed during the recruitment process.
