If you are a System Integration Engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Austin, Texas location, you will become a member of the System Integration and Quality team responsible for ensuring the highest quality new feature development in our DeltaV system, which is our innovative, flagship distributed process control system. In this role, you will be working within a Scaled Agile Framework organization, dedicated to delivering our premier process control products, built across web, cloud, PC, and embedded platforms, and integrated with locally developed hardware. The ideal candidate has worked with DeltaV and understands a range of customer use cases across industries and should be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment working with a wide range of people, experience levels, and technical backgrounds.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Participate in regular Scrum events such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
  • Work collaboratively with developers, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners to support the system level needs of the software and firmware.
  • Participate in agile standard methodologies within a culture of continuous improvement, leading improvement efforts on various release readiness processes
  • Apply a DeltaV customer perspective throughout defining test strategy, designing tests and manual system test execution
  • Build and improve test configurations
  • Discover, isolate, and document product defects
  • Validate repaired defects/faults
  • Configure and maintain large test systems, including virtualized solutions
  • Work with development and marketing groups to understand new product requirements
  • Mentor engineers

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Significant working knowledge of Distributed Control Systems
  • Experience in software testing
  • Ability to quickly understand and evaluate complex and evolving functional requirements
  • Self-directed with the ability to meet critical schedule requirements
  • Highly motivated with outstanding attention to detail
  • Consistent track record of solving complex problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Computer Science, or similar) and 4+ years of related experience, OR Master’s degree and 3+ years experience
  • Significant working knowledge of DeltaV
  • Previous working experience in the process control industry
  • Experience with DeltaV batch control and recipe management
  • Test automation
