Description:

If you are a Logistics Manager professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Stafford, Texas location, you will be responsible for the supervision of the receiving, warehousing, and shipping activities within our manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on leadership role that will coordinate and optimize all logistics operations, including receiving all material, all internal material movement, warehouse storage, and supermarket operations, and all packing, shipping, and export coordination activities.

The ideal candidate is a strategic problem solver with strong leadership skills and a proven record in logistics management within a manufacturing environment, leading cross-functional teams effectively.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Receiving Management:
    • Lead all aspects of incoming materials to ensure accurate documentation and quality compliance; coordinate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies and maintain efficient inventory control and recycling processes.
    • Manage the facility yard, including dock doors and outdoor storage, to ensure effective material handling and disposal operations.
  • Warehouse Management:
    • Coordinate daily activities, including inventory management, storage, and order fulfillment; implement standard processes for layout, organization, and safety.
    • Lead and develop warehouse staff to ensure productivity and inventory accuracy, while being responsible for the cycle count program to follow company regulations.
  • Shipping Management:
    • Plan and handle domestic and international shipping to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery while adhering to U.S. export regulations and cross dock agreements.
    • Collaborate with team members to facilitate smooth operations, supervise shipping performance for quality issues, and clarify roles within shipping and packing teams to prevent delays.
  • Strategic Planning & Leadership:
    • Provide leadership across warehouse teams with clear goals, drive utilization through automation and optimization practices.
    • Own forklift safety training, and stay informed on industry trends to maintain competitiveness.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure all logistics activities adhere to regulations and company policies while maintaining accurate records for receiving, warehousing, and shipping.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5 years of proven experience in logistics management within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on receiving, warehousing, and/or shipping
  • Strong understanding of domestic and international shipping regulations and practices
  • Validated ability to lead and develop a team effectively
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma)
