Description:

If you are an Inventory professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in Houston, TX, the Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for addressing material shortages in the shop, communication with the team, and ensuring accurate and timely material flows.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Generate reports and review on hand material status, actioning each item daily
  • Make recommendations for inventory adjustments
  • Make recommendations for stock items and/or material status change
  • Prioritize materials for orders and communicate status to the team
  • Distributes daily/weekly reports to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Assists Supervisor with maintaining transactional system integrity
  • Helps problem solve Receiving, Shipping, or Material Availability issues
  • Investigate inventory inaccuracies and WIP transactions for validity
  • Generates reports or documents in support of Shipping, Receiving and Inventory
  • Maintains documents per the Emerson record retention policy
  • Process material and due date changes to released work orders as needed
  • Assists with LEAN initiatives (kanban, process improvement)

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 3 years relevant work experience.
  • Experience with inventory transactions in a production environment.
  • Able to lift parts weighing more than 50 pounds (assistance when needed) and to work in bending, squatting and standing positions (includes working off ladders) for long periods of time (more than one hour) while working in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to interpret basic mathematical calculations, inventory and production quantities.
  • Ability to pass forklift certifications and requirements to operate forklifts
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available for this position)

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Previous experience with an operating system such as Oracle, SAP, AS400, JDEdwards, etc.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel: creating formulas, pivot tables and lookups
