Job Summary:

We're looking for a results-driven Senior Manager of Enterprise Communications who can lead, shape, support, evolve and measure holistic communications planning, strategy and execution. By creating and overseeing compelling content development and execution, y ou'll deliver robust, integrated internal/external strategies and tactics to meet annual business objectives through stellar communications.

Serving as both an empowering leader who upholds performance accountability and a practitioner/doer who sets the performance example, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging a multi-channel engagement mix to effectively reach internal/external audiences—inspiring behaviors, actions and outcomes. Leading and mentoring a team of both internal/external communications professionals, you'll foster a proactive culture of impact, continuous improvement and advocacy for Elbit America's people, products, services and capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development, execution, measurement and evolution of internal and external communications strategies
  • Champions the Enterprise Communications function, educating and demonstrating the value it strategically delivers
  • Skilled at both implementing vision and execution—operating a world-class communications function with value and impact to business results
  • Builds strong, trusted relationships with leaders and key stakeholders across the business
  • Manages and upholds exceptional writing and storytelling skills with an outstanding ability to simplify complex content and present relevant/impactful content to a variety of audiences
  • Proven performance as an exceptional proactive internal/external communications practitioner and team leader who builds high-performing, proactive/engaged teams connected to the business
  • Sets and upholds high caliber team performance—operating a modern and highly effective Enterprise Communications team
  • Serves as an authentic communications advisor, working as trusted business partner to the C-suite, general managers and other senior/executive leaders
  • Manages content development for all internal channels across multiple locations
  • Leads content development for all external channels, including but not limited to social media, media relations, public relations, website, company announcements and others
  • Proactively engages and partners with Strategic Marketing, Brand Strategy, Human Resources, business units and functional areas, driving a collaborative strategic planning and content development/execution process
  • Manages and builds comprehensive communications plans with detailed schedules including editorial calendars and calendarized tactical execution timelines
  • Oversees crisis communications planning, preparation and implementation, serves as an official company spokesperson and as a guide/mentor to other authorized spokespeople
  • Utilizes a data-driven approach to leverage insights and trends, competitive landscape, political climate and emerging technologies
  • Manages collecting and organizing enterprise-wide accomplishments to highlight/document company achievements, milestones and events monthly/quarterly/annually
  • Establishes Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), measuring impacts, provides timely performance insights and post-initiative communication analysis/recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Accountable for measuring communications reach, engagement, understanding, impact, effectiveness, share of voice, sentiment and other metrics
  • Leads and spearheads a Communications Council, including members from Strategic Marketing, Brand Strategy, Growth, Human Resources, Division Representatives and others
  • Leverages Communications Council input for planning, reviewing, collaborating, and identifying content topics, editorial plans, new communications processes/methodologies, performance scorecard reviews, best practices and more
  • Manages functional budget, including forecasting, accruals and reconciliations
  • Upholds and enforces Elbit America's corporate brand identity guidelines, ensuring consistent messaging, tone of voice, and visual identity across all initiatives
  • Completes additional initiatives/projects in support of the business as needed/assigned


Authorities:

  • Budget responsibility (up to $1M) for the Enterprise Communications function
  • Signature authority to obligate funds for approved initiatives and projects
  • Vendor selection and management authority for approved initiatives and projects


Business Relationships:

  • Collaborates with Growth, Strategic Marketing, Brand Strategy, Executive Leadership, Vice Presidents, General Managers, Directors, Managers, Affiliate/Subsidiary Organizational Leaders, Individual Contributors and others across the total Elbit America enterprise
  • The Senior Manager of Enterprise Communications is part of the Strategic Marketing/Brand Strategy/Enterprise Communications Team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Strategic Marketing, Brand Strategy and Enterprise Communications
  • Leads, mentors and develops direct reports


Education, Experience, Licenses, Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Business or equivalent
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of work-related experience required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Aerospace or defense industry experience a plus
  • Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio, etc.)
  • Adobe Creative suite, proficiency with photography and videography preferred
  • Communications certifications, memberships and credentials a plus

  • Proficient at AP style when necessary
  • Utilizes strong communications planning and content ideation/development abilities
  • Maintains strict confidentiality when projects warrant and when requested/required
  • Delivers excellent written/verbal presentations
  • Creates impactful, inspiring and motivating internal/external communications storytelling content—to achieve real business results
  • Socializes communications plans and garners input/reviews/approvals (as needed) from Strategic Marketing, Brand Strategy, Growth, Stakeholders, Compliance, Legal and others
  • Leads with courage, operates accountably, earns trust and maintains credibility among colleagues and customers
  • A genuine collaborator who works effectively with others across aisles and geographic locations
  • Informs leadership and colleagues regularly, does not operate in ways that create silos within the organization
  • Consistently sets, models and delivers a high standard of performance
  • Successfully plans and executes multiple concurrent projects with accuracy in a high-volume, fast-paced, deadline-focused environment

  • Capable of leveraging modern tools such AI and others to constantly evolve communications
  • Works with and seeks out subject matter experts to ensure content/information is current, accurate and properly aligned to key strategic initiatives

  • This is a highly visible leadership role requiring an authentic ability to build and maintain trusted/credible/highly valued relationships
