Job Summary:

The Senior Leadership and Development Training Partner plays a critical role in shaping organizational culture and driving leadership excellence. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and facilitating strategic leadership development programs that align with business objectives and talent strategies. Training focuses on non-technical skills, leadership development, general workplace standards, processes, and tools (e.g., Supervisor Training, Setting Goals, Individual Development Plans, etc.), and general skills and competencies (e.g., Verbal & Written Communications, Time Management Skills, etc.). The role partners closely with senior leaders, HR teams, and key stakeholders to assess leadership capability needs, create impactful learning experiences, and foster a culture of continuous growth and development.

The ideal candidate will bring expertise in adult learning principles, leadership development frameworks, and organizational effectiveness. They will serve as a trusted advisor, leveraging data-driven insights to influence leadership behaviors and enhance performance across all levels of the organization. The Sr Leadership and Development Training Partner will report to the Sr. Manager, Learning & Organizational Development.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the strategic training plan to ensure employees' skill levels are developed and maintained
  • Collaborate with mid and upper-level management to assess current training and future development needs by conducting needs assessments
  • Develop and deliver training programs and interventions that fulfill the employees' skill and competency gaps
  • Select and oversee training vendors to deliver training programs for various subjects
  • Identify and develop metrics to measure training effectiveness and retention of material learned
  • Maintain the collection and archiving of training records; periodically perform audits of records to affirm that all data is accurate and up to date
  • Assist with the maintenance of the performance management system, including maintaining the database and training end users on the system
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Education, Experience/Knowledge & License/Certification:
  • A bachelor's degree is required
  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • Training Pre-requisites (Within One Year of Taking Position):
    • ESD
    • Safety Training, as dictated by the Safety Department
  • Preferred Certifications/Licenses:
    • ASTD or other training certifications preferred


Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to execute duties with minimal supervision
  • Ability to link short-term objectives with long-term goals in the overall strategic plan for training and development of employees
  • Ability to analyze training needs and create effective training solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to design and develop training curriculum
  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement training agendas
  • Knowledge of adult learning methodologies and measurement tools
  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the training arena
  • Intermediate computer skills required with knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, PowerPoint, and web conferencing/training
  • Effectively model the ethics and integrity of ESA in all dealings, both inside and outside of ESA-FWO.


Travel/Physical Requirements:
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time if required
