Job Summary:

The Program Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle, from proposal development to post-delivery continuous improvement. This role serves as a quality management subject matter expert, collaborating with cross-functional teams to review contracts, design and implement quality plans, coordinate supplier quality activities, and lead audits and inspections. The position works proactively to identify and mitigate risks, drive compliance with industry standards and customer requirements, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include supporting proposal efforts, evaluating contractual obligations for quality requirements, developing and deploying robust quality management systems, engaging suppliers to ensure alignment with quality expectations, and conducting internal and external audits. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills to effectively manage quality initiatives and support business objectives in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities and Tasks (listed in bullet format) in order of priority to be successful
  • Assist in Proposal Development
  • Conduct Contract Reviews
  • Design and Implement Quality Plans for assigned programs
  • Collaborate on Supplier Statements of Work
  • Conduct Site Quality Test Plans, Audits and report findings
  • Coordinate Supplier Quality Inspections
  • Lead Continuous Improvement and Corrective Action processes
  • Present Quality performance at internal/external Program Management Reviews
  • Lead First Article Inspection activities
  • Support customer audits and issue resolution

Education, Experience/Knowledge & License/Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience in quality, preferably in technology, defense, or manufacturing environments.
  • 3+ years of experience managing a team
  • Proven experience managing teams and driving quality initiatives across programs or projects.
  • OSHA Safety training/experience a plus
  • Green/Black Belt training or Certification

Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, to include written/verbal communication
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to bring multi-discipline teams together to resolve complex issues
  • Broad understanding of applicable industry tools, systems & processes
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience in:
  • Ability to read and understand Drawings and CAD Models
  • Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Use of various measurement tools and methods

Travel/Physical Requirements
  • On average 50-75% domestic travel is required
  • Office work likely to be conducted in warehouse close to border
