Job Duties and Responsibilities Provides technical support to end-users, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.Performs troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related problems, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.Assists with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of various operating systems.Supports users with Microsoft Office Suite applications, offering guidance and resolving functionality issues.Applies networking fundamentals to assist with basic network setup, connectivity checks, and minor configuration tasks.Participates in hardware installation and setup, including workstations, peripherals, and other IT equipment.Manages software installation, updates, and uninstallation processes across different systems.Delivers excellent customer service, ensuring user satisfaction and clear communication throughout the support process.Creates and updates documentation for IT procedures, common issues, and system configurations.Assists with Active Directory tasks, including user account creation, modification, and group management. Required Qualifications Education Currently pursues a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience Demonstrates a strong interest in Information Technology.Possesses academic or personal project experience related to IT concepts. Knowledge/Skills Understands basic technical support principles and practices.Shows aptitude for troubleshooting common IT issues.Has foundational knowledge of various operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS).Is proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications.Comprehends networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, basic network components).Can assist with hardware installation and basic setup.Manages software installation and updates effectively.Exhibits strong customer service and communication skills.Possesses an ability to create clear and concise documentation.Holds a basic understanding of Active Directory concepts. Preferred Qualifications Completes relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+).Participates in IT-related clubs, organizations, or volunteer work.Shows initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Physical Requirements/Work Conditions Lifts and moves IT equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.Works primarily in an office environment, sitting at a desk for extended periods.Navigates office spaces to provide on-site support.
