Description:

We are seeking a Collections Supervisor for the Auto Collections Department.

The role of the Collections Supervisor is to provide additional support to the Portfolio Manager and collections department. The incumbent must have good interpersonal skills, ability to clearly and effectively communicate cross-functionally, exercise good judgement and work independently with minimum supervision.

Additionally, the Collections Supervisor must be able to anticipate issues based on observations and determine the necessary corrective actions to mitigate impacts.

Highlights:

  • Weekly audit the queues to monitor quality and quantity of work per Collection Agent
  • Monitoring collection calls and coaching the Collection Agents as needed
  • Maintaining updated performance metrics for the Collection Agent scorecard and coaching as needed
  • Training Collection Agents and providing ongoing support
  • Updating department procedures and job aids proactively
  • Handling all escalation and complaint calls from the collection department
  • Determine that 1st pay defaults are worked and referred for assistance as needed
  • Review collection efforts to ensure all letters have been generated
  • Ensure all collection efforts have been exhausted by the Collection Agent prior to repossession
  • Assist internal and external members to resolve inquiries or issues as needed

Experience:

Required

  • 1 to 2 years of previous experience supervising a collections or customer service department and/or customer service experience in consumer finance
  • Financial industry knowledge
  • FCPA and collection law and regulations

Preferred

  • Auto Loan Processing Experience

      Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8: 30 am-5: 30 pm

      Salary Range: $57, 761 to $61, 669 Annually

      Flexibility: On site, in office located in Houston TX; not remote or hybrid

      Level of Work: 2A
