Description:
Overall responsibility for the management of a team of Engineers primarily to support the day-to-day operations of a Gas turbine Engine overhaul and repair facility with knowledge of gas turbine engines and engine manual repairs. This includes various internal and external projects to support overall site goals and objectives. Accountable for task execution by the team, adherence to schedule, team capacity assessment and planning, and development/coaching of team members. Also, Engineering leaders should be effective working within cross-functional teams to impact the larger Chromalloy organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead NPI, yield improvement, and rework‑reduction initiatives through full production readiness.
- Drive cross‑functional project execution aligned to site objectives, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
- Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver robust, cost‑effective products and processes.
- Implement new products and processes into operations, improving quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
- Apply MOS, CI, and structured problem‑solving tools to optimize performance and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, ethical, and ISO/IPM/QPM quality standards.
- Develop, coach, and mentor engineering talent while promoting a strong continuous‑improvement culture.
- Communicate progress and results through clear, data‑driven updates to leadership.
Qualifications
- BS Engineering in a Mechanical or Materials related discipline.
- Previous experience of supervising a technical team with demonstrated leadership competencies and
ability to continually raise the performance of the team. - 6+ years’ experience in Aerospace or Industrial gas turbine engine engineering (design,
manufacture, or repair), achieving progressively increasing responsibility and result - Proven ability to lead and deliver projects while interfacing effectively with customers and other functions within
a matrix organizational structure of the corporation. - Successful experience of delivery through value chain/process in design, manufacture, and repair projects of at
least $700k - Demonstrated experience of problem solving both technical and leadership issues to resolution.
