Job Description
CBX Solutions is hiring a Aerial Ground Hand in Hutto, TX. This is a full-time position.
CBX Solutions is seeking an Aerial Ground Hand to be part of our team. This position will be responsible for working with fiber optic and copper cable systems in both new and existing applications.
Essential Functions
• Performs various aerial construction labor including but not limited to, preparing, and assembling various line apparatus, utilizing equipment to install ground rods and anchors, assisting in hoisting aerial poles, and operating various types of construction equipment
• Ability to climb utility poles at various heights
• Basic print and map reading abilities
• Ability to operate hydraulic aerial lifts and ladders mounted to trucks as well as other various pieces of equipment as needed
• Safely operate mechanical equipment such as bucket trucks, assist wheel, and anchor placement machine
• Keeps work areas clean and organized; always ensure job site cleanliness
• Maintains proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignments daily
• JSA's and pre-trip inspections, ability to recognize changing conditions as it relates to JSA
• Help train laborer 1 team members
Minimum Qualifications
• Safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lashers, chain saw, chain hoist, climbing hooks etc.
• Ensures job site safety and sets up safe perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers; flagging traffic when required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• CDL A
• OSHA 10
• Confined Space Training
• Vehicle Mounted Aerial Lift Training
• Fall protection certification/training
