ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Includes the following:

Employee is responsible to understand and comply with regulatory requirements for financial transactions, most specifically Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Customer Identification Program (CIP) as it relates to specific job functions.

Exhibits superior customer service as an Austin Bank team member. Demonstrates high quality relationship building techniques to ensure the customer receives the best possible solution to his banking and financial needs. Helps promote a loyal relationship between the customer and Austin bank.

Participates in developing a teamwork atmosphere with co-workers as part of department/branch location by attending meetings, participating in discussions, treating co-workers with respect and courtesy, and contributing to departmental goals.

Has a responsibility to stay abreast of company communications by reading publications, announcements and company e-mails, etc. Take advantage of appropriate communication channels regarding bank related business matters.

Develop personal skills and capabilities through on-going training, as provided by the company or elsewhere subject to Company approval.

Uphold and safeguard the organizations values particularly relating to ethics, integrity, and confidentiality both internally and externally.

ESSENTIAL PROFESSIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reviews and approves the annual operating budgets prepared for each branch and submits them to the Regional President. Monitors earnings and costs on an ongoing basis. Assists Regional President in annual budget preparation.

Coordinates and solicits business development from both existing customers and prospective customers. Assist in setting long-range growth and development goals. Assist Regional Presidents in determining interest rates for loans to ensure the Bank's competitiveness.

Works with Regional President to meet or exceed branch objectives as developed with senior management.

Coordinates and manages the activities of the lending functions of the banking centers in conjunction with Regional President and the respective departments of the Main Bank. Visits with each Lending Officer as needed to ensure asset quality. Assists Lending Officers when they have problems with the proper format for structuring loans.

Visit banking centers regularly or as needed to facilitate communications between all lenders, offices, and departments.

Under direction of Regional President, oversees the collection or restructuring of downgraded or defaulted loans. Review past-due loans over 30 days delinquent, making notes of officers' remarks regarding the loan. Prepares and places written statements in files when loans are 90 days past due requesting Loan Officers take action to have the loan paid. Reports to the Board of Directors loans over 90 days past due with the status of the loan and the probability for collection. Conducts past-due meetings as needed.

Review/Approve/Decline loans in accordance with loan authority.

Assists lenders in customer calls to existing customers and potential prospects. Manage Business Development Officers and assists in preparing prospect lists and using available resources to define prospects.

Reviews loan packages with lending officers and credit analysts before submission to appropriate loan committees/approval levels.

Ensures that all lending personnel are performing in a satisfactory manner and that Bank policies are implemented in a prudent fashion. Assist Regional President with preparation of management reports and asset quality reports on monthly basis.

Works with Retail Market Mangers to insure a good working environment between retail and lending and to meet bank goals performance.

Assists with marketing efforts by attending local community functions. Attend public affairs such as dinners, dances, auctions, and speaking opportunities, etc. on a regular basis to insure Bank is a good corporate neighbor.

Implements and maintains established department and Bank policies, procedures, objectives and quality assurance.

Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, community involvement and in-service meetings, etc.

Reports to work regularly and promptly.

Maintains confidentiality at all times.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; 6 to 8 years related experience or equivalent.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional, financial, and legal documents. Ability to write speeches, reports and professional correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of Bank and respond effectively to questions from customers and Bank personnel. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, customers, regulatory agencies, and Board of Directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply advanced complex mathematical equations as applicable.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Ability to operate personal computer.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
