Aspire MRO LLC is hiring a Buyer II in Fort Worth, TX. This is a full-time position.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Buyer II is responsible for supporting the Director, Supply Chain with all Procurement activities and with the enforcement of Procurement policies and procedures. This is a senior-level position with no supervisory responsibility that reports to the Director, Supply Chain. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Sources Suppliers by using experience buying indirect services and standard practice category management and research tools. Oversees and enforces that requisitions are approved by the appropriate individuals using the delegation of authority and relying on knowledge of the companys organization structure in order to ensure segregation of duty process requirements to prevent fraud and unfair supplier selection. Drafts and negotiates contracts relying on prior years of experience for assigned indirect spend to secure delivery of services at the correct prices for corporate operations annual requirements. Creates master service and parts agreement opportunities to aggregate spend with fewer suppliers in order to deliver more efficient use of Suppliers and negotiating lower prices for volume. Develops RFPs, spend analysis and should cost pricing for goods and services to help achieve budget targets. Independently runs sourcing spend Initiatives through all phases of spend management. Conducts market research to source supplies and providers. Negotiates with Suppliers to achieve Savings. Influences internal corporate stakeholders and staff to comply with and participate in policy driven initiates such as testing new suppliers; reducing supplier base. Ensures timely delivery of project status and savings completion. Acts as a team member with all employees of GDC. Tracks and resolves purchasing and inventory problems or discrepancies. Completes purchase orders, maintain records Exercises discretion and independent judgment while performing duties. Exercises discretion and independent judgment while performing duties. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent Associate or Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field. 8+ years of related experience, including prior purchasing, contract negotiation in lieu of degree. SUCCESS FACTORS/JOB COMPETENCIES: Knowledge of vendor sources, products, and purchasing procedures. Proficient in MS Excel and MS Project. Highly analytical. Well organized with good attention to detail. Able to develop analysis to support the departments goals of savings and price reductions annually and to support in preparing data analyses. Familiar with contract negotiations. Able to coordinate well with other departments. Solid math skills. Solid decision-making skills. Understanding of production processes. Good communications skills. Must be able to read, write and speak Standard English for routine business correspondence and for producing work products. Must be able to adhere to all established safety policies, processes and procedures. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in indoor settings, including office and warehouse/airplane hangar environments which require the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines and safety gear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
