The National Business Development Director is a senior-level role responsible for setting the vision, strategy, and go-to-market strategy for our manufactured housing business across all business units nationwide. This role will drive business growth by identifying new markets and business opportunities, building key partnerships and relationships, and managing a team. This role will grow the company's business by expanding product offerings through collaboration with our sister companies. The NBDD will collaborate closely with internal teams and external customers to ensure seamless integration and expansion of product categories to meet customer needs. The National Business Development Director's effectiveness is chiefly measured and rewarded for exceeding goals for sales and profit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Identify new manufactured housing business opportunities and develop strategies to grow our business with specialty distributors and specialty home builders.
- Train and develop the field sales team to sell our manufactured housing products.
- Collaborate with internal teams to convert business from competitors.
- Visit manufactured housing manufacturers constantly looking for new product / business opportunities.
- Frequent contact with special distributors and manufactured housing manufacturers resulting in strong personal relationships.
- Responsible for developing & implementing programs with specialty distributors & manufactured housing manufactures for all product lines.
- Must be an expert with regards to ventilation, trims & flashing, metal roofing products, manufactured housing installation methods, and best practices.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to provide insights and recommendations for business improvement.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of leads and prospects through proactive prospecting and networking.
- Responsible for providing forecast for new product line business.
- Prepare and present regular reports and presentations to management on sales performance, market trends, and competitive analysis.
- Communicate effectively with top-level management regarding market trends across the U.S.
- Collaborate with the Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and other departments as required to align efforts and optimize business performance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management to support company objectives.
Education and/or Experience: - Degree: Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Years of experience: Five years of sales experience demonstrating increasing year over year sales improvement.
- Area of Expertise: Sales or Business Development, preferably in a manufacturing or home improvement environment
- Strong collaborator, able to contribute to a high performing team.

Work Conditions: Requires a flexible schedule, travel, and networking with the potential for demanding hours and pressure to meet targets. High volume of calls, emails, and new prospect interactions daily.
