Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Configuration Manager to join our team and lead all configuration and project management activities related to our Vertafore IMS platform. This key role will be responsible for the end-to-end management of insurance program implementations, including Lloyds and Domestic carrier integrations, rating tools, and document automation. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in project management, systems configuration, and a deep understanding of Vertafore IMS, with a hands-on approach to execution and leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Project Manager and Lead Configuration Manager for all insurance programs utilizing Vertafore IMS.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of system implementation projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery aligned with business goals.
  • Lead the configuration and integration of Lloyds and Domestic carriers within IMS, ensuring compliance and functional alignment with underwriting and policy workflows.
  • Configure and deploy IMS raters, collaborating with actuarial and underwriting teams to ensure rating accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee the implementation of document automation solutions within IMS, including advanced tag mapping and template configuration.
  • Work directly with stakeholders across product, underwriting, technology, and compliance to gather requirements, define scope, and manage execution.
  • Drive continual improvement and standardization of IMS configuration best practices across programs.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to internal teams on IMS platform capabilities and optimization.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configuration, workflows, and implementation guides.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience, specifically leading system-related projects within the insurance industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Vertafore IMS, including:
    • Leading insurance program implementations.
    • Configuring and deploying IMS raters.
    • Implementing and managing document automation tools and tag mapping.
    • Integrating with Lloyds and Domestic insurance carriers.
  • Strong understanding of insurance program structures, rating logic, policy workflows, and document lifecycle within IMS.
  • Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and leadership.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical configuration solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP or other project management certification.
  • Experience in agile project environments.
  • Prior experience mentoring or managing configuration teams.
