SIAA is hiring!

Description:

Company Overview

SIAA Xchange, LLC (“Xchange”) was created to unlock smarter, faster, and more profitable access to over $17 billion in premium controlled by the SIAA network. As the embedded MGA and wholesale platform aligned with SIAA, we are more than just a distribution partner, we are building the infrastructure that transforms how carriers connect to the largest network of independent agencies in the country.

Our goal is to provide markets with a direct, trusted, and efficient channel to profitable premium by solving real challenges agents face when placing business. We understand how to manage submission flow, curate underwriting, and deploy technology that eliminates the friction often found in traditional wholesale interactions.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Premium Accounting Manager to join our finance and accounting team. Reporting into senior finance leadership, this role is critical to managing receivables, ensuring the integrity of the trust position, and supporting operational excellence within Xchange’s Wholesale and MGA operations.

The Premium Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day premium accounting processes, focusing on receivables management, carrier settlements, and trust account reconciliation. The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of insurance accounting experience in an MGA environment, with a proven track record in premium receivables and trust oversight.

Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee all aspects of premium receivables management, including monitoring aging, collections, and reconciliation.
    • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of trust account reconciliations, maintaining compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage carrier payables, policyholder receivables, and settlement processes.
    • Partner with carriers, agents, and internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies.
    • Develop and enforce policies and controls to safeguard trust funds and ensure audit readiness.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Lead the monthly premium accounting close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Prepare and maintain schedules, reconciliations, and reports supporting receivables and trust position accuracy.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance automation, and strengthen controls.
    • Provide data-driven insights into receivables, cash flow, and premium accounting performance.
  • Leadership & Team Support
    • Supervise and mentor staff within the premium accounting function, fostering growth and accountability.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, underwriting, and carrier relations) to improve premium accounting processes.
    • Support finance leadership in preparing reports for management, auditors, and carrier partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years of insurance accounting experience, specifically within a MGA environment.
  • Proven expertise in premium receivables management and trust account reconciliation.
  • Strong knowledge of MGA premium accounting processes and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting and insurance systems (MGA Systems/IMS preferred); advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to collaborate across teams.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience managing or supervising a premium accounting team.
  • Track record of implementing process improvements and leveraging technology.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented MGA environment.
