Description:

Schneider Electric USA, Inc. seeks a Strategic Supplier Leader in Franklin, TN.

Job Description: Understand and communicate the supplier strategy by assessing the supplier's unique value propositions and proposing a multi-year development plan. Monitor supplier load level and investment plans and supplier risks assessments. Consolidate internal needs from Schneider entities (BUs and Operations) and define areas of business development opportunities. Lead the global negotiations with the supplier on behalf of all SE entities, as well as regular business reviews with the supplier to monitor operational performance. Organize regular management reviews with supplier to monitor the strategic development plan. Oversee the business awards (OCP and OFP), in full coordination with BUs and operations and category management. Engage appropriate division and cross-functional resource, including SQME and SSCME launching logistics or quality action plans. Update business terms and their implementation in various ERP. Position eligible for remote work up to 2 days per week. 15% travel (5% international, 10% domestic) required to company and supplier sites in NAM, Europe, and China for business reviews and negotiations.

Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Engineering Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field, and progressive, post-Bachelor's experience (4 years with Master's or 6 years with Bachelor's) in procurement management, project purchasing leadership, or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Managing suppliers by resolving conflicts, monitoring supplier spend, conducting business reviews and monitoring supplier performance; Developing and deploying commodity strategies in coordination with relevant stakeholders; Managing contracts and agreements using understanding of business law; Understanding semiconductors and their utilization in industrial products; Using OCP and OFP related processes, including coordination with various regions and teams; Using procurement tools, procurement policy and procurement excellence system to improve procurement results [internal tools: Isave/Inego/Product databases, Kinaxis/SAP daily operations; and Managing complete product lifecycle.
