For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $160, 200 - 241, 200 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric is recruiting for a Senior Manager for Americas Export Control and Sanctions in one of the following Schneider Electric locations: Boston, MA, Nashville, TN, Raleigh, NC, Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX

As the Sr. Manager for Americas Export Control and Sanctions, you will be essential in driving the continuous improvement and implementation of Schneider Electric's Center of Excellence Policy and Directive. This role will emphasize leading initiatives to assess and mitigate risks, develop policies and procedures, and cultivate a culture of compliance across the organization. You will manage and execute ongoing improvement projects to ensure Schneider Electric complies with regulatory standards regarding global transactions and business operations in all regions where we operate.

What will you do?

• Create investigation methods, analyze results, provide recommendations, and prepare communications to support these efforts.

• Partner cross-functionally with members SE's Export Control COE to assess and respond to regulatory requests and other matters involving government regulators.

• Proactively prepare for and coordinate governmental and / or internal to Schneider Electric Investigations and Audits, ensuring readiness and compliance before, after, or during such event.

• Routinely assess export data, risks, and geo-political events to create assessments plans based on business needs, trends, and external threats to existing or future business.

• Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-regional teams to implement effective compliance strategies.

• Engage with external stakeholders, including government agencies and industry groups, and outside counsel as necessary.

• Create, deploy, and execute E2E Corrective Action Plans as necessary related to internal or external findings or as part of continuous improvement activities within SE.

• Prepare the reports (for internal recordkeeping) and/or reports to the authorities.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of international trade controls and sanctions laws with a proactive approach to compliance and complex problem solving. Excellent communication and project management skills, and critical problem solving are essential for success in this role.

The Americas Senior Export Control & Sanctions Mgr. will support both regional Americas and SE Global sites, functions and businesses impacted by the exterritorial reach of US Regulations.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

• Minimum Bachelor's degree required

• Competent export control experience required, preferable in a multinational company

• Must have at least 10-15 years of US export control and sanctions regulations experience, Export Classification experience with OFAC, BIS, NRC, DOE, ITAR

• Experience with automated trade compliance - high volume screening solutions/tools

• Experience in technology, software, or digital industries a plus

• 15% travel domestically and internationally when required.

• Demonstrated ability being a team player and influencing others.

• Proficiency with MS office applications

• Excellent oral and written skills

• Pragmatic problem-solving abilities

• Keen diplomatic instincts and customer service mentality (internal and external customer)

• Ability to work independently, employ good judgment, act with integrity, take ownership, and seek advice when necessary.
