What You Will Do: - Maintain engineering records for standard product offerings.
- Investigate issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Execute approved recommendations (e.g., create/revise records in Creo and/or PDM).
- Write and validate Application Notes.
Support to Line of Business (LoB): - Assist with Project Management Process, Product Evolution Process Full Track, AGILE, and Optimization projects.
- Conduct risk analysis (FMEA and Fault Tree Analysis).
- Provide problem and Technical Expert Assessment support for factory and field issues.
- Release Application Notes for legacy record updates.
Support to Global Supply Chain (GSC): - Coordinate and prioritize support requests (Application Coded Equipment, MOTS, Product Design Change Requests).
- Liaise with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement to meet lead times and reduce errors.
- Manage obsolescence of designs (Offer Optimization, Longtail, Commodity).
- Perform standard record changes and investigations related to design issues.
- Review deviation requests.
Support to Centers of Excellence (CoS): - Conduct Production Part Approval Process and First Article Inspection Report, 3F analysis, product audits, and Quality & Value Engineering project execution.
- Prioritize legacy record changes for each factory Manufacturing Change Owner.
Support to Project Engineering: - Correct standard records to reduce/eliminate manual intervention by Order Execution.
- Coordinate obsolescence communication.
Support to Middle Office Design Optimization: - Coordinate and prioritize support requests (Application Coded Equipment, MOTS, Product Design Change Requests).
- Support content testing for project launches.
- Release Application Notes for legacy record updates.
Compliance: - Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal codes/regulations.
- Apply industry standards (UL, ANSI, NEC) to new designs.
- BS or MS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Experience in the design, applications, and/or installation of MV products.
- Proficient in Creo/ProE, Product Data Management, ODM+, Order Editor, Application Coded Equipment, Quote to Cash, and SAP.
- Skilled in 3D tolerance analysis.
- Accountable, self-motivated, and proactive.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience.
- Ability to integrate quickly into global offers and processes.
- Support CBGS-0, GHA, DVCAS & PremSet with European plants.
- Required to spend at least 2 weeks in source plants (Germany & Spain)
