Description:

Schneider Electric has a hybrid opportunity (2- 3 days a week from the office) for an Associate Controller, Technical Accounting to be based in Nashville, TN or Boston, MA.

As an Associate Controller in Technical Accounting, you will:
  • Ensure IFRS Compliance: Apply and interpret IFRS standards.
  • Manage Complex Accounting Areas: Leases, investments, rebates, provisions, revenue, restructuring, among other complex areas.
  • Lead Financial Close Activities: Participate in monthly close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliations, reporting package promotion, variance analysis, and results presentation.
  • Prepare and Analyze Data: Perform data analytics utilizing various data platforms and sources (SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) and interpret results of analytics to drive conversation and informed decision-making.
  • Support Audits: Prepare schedules for internal and external audits, perform transaction testing, and support other audit inquiries.
  • Drive Process Transformation: Contribute to automation and standardization initiatives, addressing challenges with non-standardized data across ERP platforms (SAP Bridge, S4 HANA, HFM, and various other systems).
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Build strong relationships with Finance, Operations, Plant Controllers, Legal, and investment entities (SE Ventures) to facilitate collaborative environment of trust and partnership.
What Qualifications Will Make You Successful?
  • Education & Certification:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
    • Master's in Accounting or MBA is preferred
    • CPA license required
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of public accounting experience (Big 4 or Tier 2 preferred).
    • Exposure to manufacturing, construction, software, or contract-driven industries is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of IFRS standards.
    • Advanced Excel skills; experience or interest in data analytics (SQL, Tableau, Power Query) highly valued.
    • Experience with or interest in process transformation and continuous improvement
    • ERP experience (SAP, HFM, Dynamics, or similar).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Self-starter with strong research and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to interact with senior leadership.
    • Collaborative mindset to build relationships across multiple teams.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 101, 600 - USD 152, 400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
