Production Foreman/Supervisor - Fabrication is responsible for the direct supervision of 25-30 employees within the fabrication production area. This position ensures that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with customer specifications, company standards, and ISO quality requirements. The Supervisor is accountable for: 1) The safety and behavior of all employees under their supervision, and 2) The safety, organization, and efficiency of the workspaces they manage.
Safety Leadership - Promoting the message that Safety, Quality, and Production are equally important in every task performed.
- Conducting scheduled safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments (HLA/JSA) and implementing corrective actions.
- Training employees on hazard recognition and safe work practices.
- Reporting and investigating all injuries, incidents, and near misses; ensuring timely corrective actions are implemented.
- Reinforcing a 'Safety First' mindset, where employees take ownership for their own safety and that of others.
- Encouraging proactive reporting through the Safety Observation Card system and participation in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Recognizing and rewarding employees who actively contribute to eliminating potential hazards.
Supervision and Production Management - Provide hands-on leadership and daily direction to fabrication team members.
- Train operators on equipment, processes, and quality expectations.
- Ensure efficient flow of work through the department, maintaining productivity and schedule adherence.
- Plan and assign work, monitor progress, and make real-time adjustments to meet production goals.
- Ensure all materials, tools, and equipment are properly used, maintained, and controlled.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Safety departments to resolve production issues.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and in-process work.
- Plan and approve overtime as necessary, in coordination with the Production Manager.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and 6-S methodology within the work area.
Performance Metrics - Safety performance and proactive participation

- Compliance with 6-S and continuous improvement objectives
Additional Responsibilities - Participate in new product or process design reviews.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments.
- Actively support ISO and internal audit processes.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Production Manager.
Qualifications Qualifications - Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proven ability to train, coach, and motivate teams.
- Working knowledge of production processes, materials handling, and fabrication equipment.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, ERP systems preferred).
- Commitment to continuous improvement and employee engagement.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow directions and prioritize tasks.
- Safety-conscious and reliable; must follow all company safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, or on-call assignments as required.
Experience - Experience with fiberglass handling or air testing is a plus.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in an industrial, construction, or fabrication setting preferred.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and measuring equipment.
Physical Demands - Lift/carry: sedentary up to 10 lbs; light up to 20 lbs; medium up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Regular use of hands and arms for tool and equipment operation.
- Remain on feet for extended periods of time.
- Frequent wrist/hand motions.
- Ability to respond quickly to sounds.
- Must move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- Visual acuity required for accuracy and thoroughness of work.
- Standing/walking for more than 90% of shift, including long distances.
- Ability to work in extreme weather.
Work Environment - Active industrial shop with exposure to dust, noise, varying temperatures, and heavy machinery.
- Frequent use of PPE including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and dust masks as required.
Education - Associate's or Technical degree in a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
