Description:
Director of Payroll for NHC Corporate Office located in Murfreesboro, TN NHC Corporate Officelocated in beautiful Murfreesboro, TN (near Nashville) is looking for a Director of Payrollto join our team! This position is responsible for overseeing the Home Office-based payroll team and coordination of the bi-weekly payroll processing for the company.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree and ten years of prior payroll experience.
- Possess multi-location payroll experience.
- Be able to work accurately with the pressures of deadlines and interruptions while at the same time being well organized, persistent and prioritize tasks.
- Possess excellent management and leadership skills to encourage positive teamwork and work environment.
- Possess good communication and analytical skills with the ability to pay attention to details.
- Previous experience with UltiPro payroll/HCM/WFM platform preferred.
- Ability to follow and apply policy and procedures in a positive and professional manner.
- Possess a strong work ethic and adhere to strict confidentiality.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of the job, the partner is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. Must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions. - Lead the Home Office payroll team with positive motivation to encourage growth and teamwork.
- Responsible for the accurate completion of the company's bi-weekly payroll processing.
- Communicate with facility-based bookkeepers, administrators and regional accountants regarding payroll issues and training.
- Monitor and ensure the confidentiality of all payroll-related data and information.
- Assist the AVP of Payroll with interaction with auditors, government representatives, workers' compensation administrator, financial/accounting services clients.
- Work closely with the AVP of Payroll to ensure smooth payroll operations and process improvements.
- Develop Procedures and documentation for payroll systems.
- Monitor and enforce payroll-related company policies.
- Evaluate performance, coach and counsel payroll department partners.
- Select or make suggestions for the selection of payroll department staff members.
- Handle partner (employee) relations issues as required.
- Be familiar with and follow all company and facility policies and procedures.
- Meet all reporting requirements and deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time.
