Description:
JOB SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, perform repetitive or standard production assembly operations on electronic assemblies and subassemblies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Receive instructions through various written and verbal methods.
· Insert components into a printed circuit board in preparation for soldering.
· Inspect own work and team members for defects.
· Properly document problems that occur.
· Kit parts using bar code reader.
· Successful completion of IPC-A-610 training class
· IPC-A-610 certified.
· Prepare parts for assembly operations.
· May mask printed circuit boards.
· May set up and operate automatic machines that are computer controlled.
· May operate equipment including swage, masking machine, contact system, Icon, asymtek, etc.
· Perform soldering and/or rework on parts > than 25 mil.
· Perform rework on through-hole assemblies (complex) and may perform rework on SMT assemblies.
· Perform moderately complex engineering change orders.
· Route jumpers.
· Replace parts as needed and directed.
· May inspect product using microscope.
· May perform pad and trace repair.
· May perform BGA rework.
· May operate welder.
· May be required to work overtime.
· Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

· Soldering skills
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
· Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
· Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
· Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
· Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
