Position Information

Position Overview

We're seeking a motivated and innovative summer intern to join our HR team with the primary focus of evaluating and improving our employee recognition program. We are looking for someone local to our Nashville office and excited to be in office a couple days a week. This role offers a unique opportunity to make meaningful contributions to company culture while gaining exposure to various HR functions including Talent Acquisition, Benefits, HRIS, and Onboarding. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the area of Human Resources, specifically around employee recognition and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a thorough assessment of our current employee recognition programs including the analysis of employee feedback and program participation data
  • Research industry best practices on employee recognition strategies
  • Create a recommendation for a company-wide internal recognition program that recognizes and rewards high performers
  • Present findings and proposals to the HR team
  • Create an implementation plan including timeline
  • Create a plan for measuring the recommended program outcomes and success metrics
  • Attend weekly HealthStream intern program learning sessions
  • Attend and participate in HR team meetings
  • Work alongside our human resources team to support various initiatives and assist with various tasks
  • Improve your understanding of business and HR operations and professional etiquette


Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Be at least a Junior pursuing a degree in human resources, organizational development, industrial psychology, marketing, business, or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Applicable experience that includes attention to detail and critical thinking
  • Experience working with diverse individuals in remote formats
  • Experience conducting research and producing outcomes or making decisions based on that research
