Compact Equipment Outside Sales

We are looking to hire a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to cover compact construction equipment sales. This role requires a candidate who can demonstrate equipment, prospect new business opportunities within the assigned territory, and follow up with leads in a timely and professional manner.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned territory through in-person visits and outbound calls to current and potential customers

  • Drive revenue growth through equipment rentals and sales

  • Develop and execute business strategies to meet or exceed sales quotas

  • Promote the value and capabilities of our Parts and Service departments

  • Complete all related sales and rental paperwork, contracts, and documentation accurately

  • Maintain detailed records of daily customer interactions and set short- and long-term goals

  • Represent the company and product lines professionally at all times.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in construction equipment or a related industry

  • Bachelor' s degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred (not required)

  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Proficient in territory and project management

  • Strong knowledge of the local market, competition, and pricing strategies

  • Comfortable working evenings or weekends if needed

  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight during the workweek as needed

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling

  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.

  • Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
