Base pay in range will be determined by applicant's skills and experience. Full-time associates in role are also eligible for an annual bonus incentive. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company's 401(k) program.

Education and Experience Bachelors' degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field required and 5-7 years of marketing, communications, employee engagement, or organizational development experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong emphasis on demonstrated creative writing skills and strategic thinking. Experience working with multiple levels of business leaders and sensitive information. Previous manager level experience preferred.

Addendum to Job Description Develops and executes comprehensive public relations strategies that enhance Brookdale's reputation, support business objectives, and increase awareness among key stakeholders.Establishes and maintains relationships with national, regional, trade, and local media representatives to generate positive coverage and position Brookdale as an industry leader.Serves as a strategic communications advisor to senior leadership, providing counsel on public relations initiatives, reputation management, stakeholder communications, and emerging issues.Leads proactive and reactive media relations efforts, including media outreach, interview coordination, media inquiry responses, and development of newsworthy story opportunities.Develops messaging, talking points, letters, statements, and media preparation materials for company leaders and subject matter experts.Creates and manages public relations content, including news releases, media advisories, thought leadership articles, and award submissions.Manages Brookdale Newsroom channels to ensure timely, accurate, and compelling dissemination of company news and achievements.Monitors media coverage, industry trends, and public sentiment; evaluates potential reputation risks and opportunities; and provides recommendations to leadership.Leads crisis communication planning and response efforts, including development of communication strategies, key messages, response protocols, and stakeholder communications during sensitive or high-profile situations.Serves as a media liaison and designated spokesperson, as appropriate, providing counsel to community and corporate leaders and ensuring consistent, accurate communications during both positive and adverse media events.
