Main Purpose of the Role
The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, Operations is responsible for providing comprehensive reporting and key analysis and insights to the SVP of Operations and their respective teams. This role is key to ensuring the Company maintains integrity and accuracy of its manufacturing operations, financial results, and safeguarding company assets. For maximum leadership impact, this role is intended to be based out of our Memphis Operations Center in Memphis, TN. Hybrid onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures accurate, timely financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting for Manufacturing Operations
- Partners with the SVP of Operations to own the capital budget and reviews/approves capital investment opportunities.
- Analyzes and manages product cost drivers (material, labor and overhead) by working with manufacturing and operations leadership.
- Leads the development of AOP, error-free forecasts, and long-term financial plans. End-to-end ownership of this process, with the inclusion of critical stakeholder inputs.
- Defines monthly forecast package - what can be reported today and what steady state reporting looks like and gets alignment with CAO and VP, Commercial finance
- Establishes Annual budget and forecast
- Provides Monthly reporting for G& A expenses + COGS for monthly MBRs; highlights trends, identify variances and make recommendations for improvements.
- Provides margin analysis for Surgical and RTPT businesses
- Conducts ROI & cost-benefit analysis for proposed projects, investments, and initiatives.
- Responsive and directly supportive to leadership Director of Mfg. FP& A and SVP of operations
- Partners with the Dir, Mfg finance to develop KPI metrics and measurements relating to the achievement of strategic objectives and transactional activity / workflow to measure performance and diagnosis performance issues and opportunities.
- Proactively identifies opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies and develops and executes action plans to realize those benefits with supportive data and analytics.
- Holds oneself and others accountable to conduct business in a manner compliant with Bioventus' Code of Compliance and Ethics, policies and procedures, and internal controls.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- B.S. or B.A. in Accounting or Finance-related field required.
- MBA or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant financial and advanced analytics experience. (Experienced in systems, cost center accounting, management reporting, project accounting and business modeling); Must have experience requirement, including at least 2 years in a manufacturing and/or cost accounting setting with proven results
- Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services (PBCS), Microsoft Excel (superior/advanced level Excel skills are required in this role), SAP knowledge and experience.
- Proven experience with SQL or similar technologies preferred.
- Ability to work through complexity and ambiguous scenarios with an end-to-end, results-driven mindset. Strong sense of urgency and project management expertise.
- Strong communication skills: interpersonal, group, and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and desire to produce error-free work deliverables consistently.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with all layers of management and adhere to tight deadlines
