About The Role Axle Logistics, a top-20 North American freight brokerage, is seeking a Director of Carrier Compliance to lead the strategy, governance, and day-to-day operation of our carrier compliance and risk framework. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in FMCSA regulatory compliance and fraud/risk detection, and is ready to own a program that directly shapes how Axle manages relationships with motor carriers. What you'll do Own and continuously evolve Axle's carrier compliance program, ensuring the framework keeps pace with regulatory change and emerging fraud patterns Lead cross-functional rollout of compliance policy updates to Operations, Sales, and Claims teams Investigate and respond to carrier fraud indicators, including double-brokering, identity theft, and fictitious carrier schemes Manage carrier compliance technology stack (e.g., Highway, MercuryGate) and carrier data field governance Manage a team of carrier compliance analysts and develop work flows for emerging shipment-level alerts Report on carrier risk metrics, fraud trends, and program performance to department and executive leadership
