The role works closely with planning, production, procurement, freight forwarders, and customs agents to support seamless supply chain operations.

The Manager - Logistics Operations is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing end-to-end logistics and warehouse operations to ensure timely material movement, inventory accuracy, cost control, and compliance with customs and trade regulations. The role works closely with planning, production, procurement, freight forwarders, and customs agents to support seamless supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities1. Operations Planning & Warehouse Management
- Strategically plan and manage day-to-day logistics and warehouse operations.
- Ensure efficient material storage, handling, and dispatch activities.
- Monitor warehouse performance and implement process improvements.
- Manage inventory accuracy through cycle count programs and periodic audits.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with Planning and Production teams to ensure timely material availability and dispatch.
- Support achievement of plant turnaround time (TT) targets.
- Monitor order fulfillment performance and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Work closely with Procurement, Production, Planning, Finance, Quality, and Customer Service teams.
- Lead resolution of logistics and supply chain-related issues through effective stakeholder management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics functions.
- Prepare and analyze logistics performance data related to TT1, TT2, TT3, and TT4 metrics.
- Generate invoices and monitor process performance against KPIs.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for service failures and implement corrective action plans.
- Monitor and control transportation, freight, warehousing, customs clearance, and related logistics costs.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining service quality.
- Support budgeting and logistics expense reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, customs regulations, import/export requirements, and statutory regulations.
- Maintain necessary documentation and records for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Drive adherence to safety and operational standards.
- Manage relationships with Customs House Agents (CHA), freight forwarders, transporters, and logistics service providers.
- Ensure timely customs clearance and shipment execution.
- Resolve import/export documentation and clearance issues efficiently.
- Manage and apply relevant Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) for international shipments.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance to maximize duty savings.
- Stay updated on country-specific trade agreements and customs regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commerce, Engineering, or related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in logistics, warehouse management, import/export operations, or supply chain functions.
- Strong knowledge of customs clearance, freight forwarding, transportation management, and FTA regulations.
- Experience in inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and MS Excel.
