What is the job?

Great restaurant memories come from many places. The sights, sounds, scents and, importantly, service. As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you’ll welcome our guests, recommend food and drink and help keep service on-track and up to standard. By tailoring each guest’s experience to their unique tastes, you’ll create memories as delightful as the dishes.

Your day to day

• Create a warm welcome to everyone and set the tone for each guest experience
• Prepare and serve beverages. Present and serve food according to established health and presentation standards
• Maintain the bar – keep it clean and tidy, and ensure alcohol is always secure
• Handle cash and credit transactions
• Look smart – wear your uniform with pride
• Be ready to jump into other departments to assist your colleagues when required
• Follow safety procedures
• Monitor guest behaviour and alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to the guest should cease, notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of guests, check identification whenever the age of a guest requesting an alcoholic beverage service is questionable
• Clear and clean tables in a prompt and efficient manner. Maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant as necessary
• Encourage guest feedback and take action using established guidelines for any service recovery to ensure guest satisfaction

What we need from you

• RSA – valid in Tasmania
• Flexible – across mornings, nights, weekends and public holidays shifts
• Articulate – a great communicator, warm, welcoming and easy to talk to
• Be based in Hobart and available immediately, or relocating soon
