In this role, you will:

Innovation & Program Development

  • This role will lead all Design Management activities from a technical point of view for the IFP R& D team, partnering (where needed) with the relevant product developers and the relevant business partners, following all global best practices & procedures. This will involve creation of the Design Control files for all our product categories and securing R& D Director/Quality Director approval for the multi-gate process. This includes updating/maintaining new files as products are renovated through their life-cycle.
  • Own building sufficient capability & awareness of Design Management processes along broader R& D team, and updating this as/when needed to reflect evolving requirements
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Design Management process to ensure continuing conformity with requirements while facilitating its use across the IFP teams
  • The individual will serve as R& D subject matter expert on Cosmetic and Medical Devices and General Product Regulations
  • In addition, this role will own updating and maintaining the existing medical, cosmetic and General Products dossiers across IFP and will own creating any new dossiers required in future linked to new business and regulatory requirements
  • They will also own outlining for product testing, labelling, storage and packaging and where necessary will support product development
  • Support the overarching Change Management process and associated activities that ensures changes are consistently evaluated, controlled, documented and compliant to applicable regulatory requirements

Organisational Leadership

  • They will be the first point of contact for the product development, quality, regulatory teams as we continue our journey on implementing and checking/adjusting our Design Management processes
  • Influence and educate senior R& D leadership and business partners on Design Management requirements for our products and technologies

  • A minimum standard of bachelor or similar university degree in scientific/engineering field
  • 5 years working as R& D and/or quality Professional
  • Knowledge of relevant national/internal guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Broad knowledge of the consumer insight of FMCG industry, production processes, and raw materials
  • Experience of working effectively in multifunctional teams
  • Fluent in English

Preferred (not essential, but desired):

  • Experience of working with ECM
  • Product development/R& D experience in bringing new innovations to market
  • Acquainted with EtQ (Excellence through Quality) systems
  • Acquainted with Cognition/Compass systems
