Role reports to: Manager, Skin Health & Beauty R& D

Location: Brazil - Sao Jose dos Campos

What you will do

General Position Description: The R& D Technician III is responsible for executing a variety of laboratory activities with a high degree of independence, adhering to established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and test methodologies. This role entails operating complex laboratory equipment independently and ensuring the integrity of laboratory operations through meticulous adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct formulation batches, laboratory tests and issue reports on lab stability studies, ensuring compliance with requirements and internal protocols.

• Monitor and calibrate laboratory equipment, maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and calibration activities to ensure operational reliability.

• Manage inventory of raw materials, ensuring that stock levels are adequate for ongoing projects and replenishing materials as necessary.

• Prepare laboratory samples and solutions, maintaining high-quality standards in all laboratory records and documentation.

• Uphold safety and housekeeping standards within the laboratory environment, promoting a culture of safety and compliance among team members.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research and development initiatives, contributing with technical expertise and insights.

• Assist in the training and onboarding of new laboratory personnel, providing guidance on standard operating procedures and laboratory practices.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing laboratory efficiency and effectiveness.

What we are looking for

Qualifications:

• Technician degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience.

• Proven experience in a laboratory setting, with a strong understanding of laboratory techniques and equipment.

• Excellent organizational skills

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

The R& D Technician III plays a crucial role in supporting the research and development efforts of the organization, ensuring that all laboratory activities are conducted with precision and professionalism.
