What you will do

The Senior Director, Corporate Affairs, Brazil & Latin America (LATAM) will be responsible for developing and implementing Corporate Affairs strategies that enhance Kenvue's reputation, manage risks and build strong relationships with key stakeholders and advocate on key issues in Brazil and Latin America.

The successful candidate will develop and lead a strong team of corporate affairs professionals, working in close collaboration with business leaders, cross-functional teams, and global colleagues across the Corporate Affairs function. This role will report to the Vice President, Corporate Affairs who oversees our newly integrated Europe Middle East Africa (EMEA) - Latin America (LATAM) region

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and executing a robust corporate affairs strategy to support business objectives and deliver our purpose of helping millions more consumers realize the extraordinary power of everyday care.
  • Overseeing the execution of global and regional Corporate Affairs campaigns across key markets and leading media and stakeholder engagement in Brazil.
  • Streamlining communications initiatives across LATAM including internal and corporate communications and issues management.
  • Managing media partnerships and speaking opportunities that enhance visibility for senior executives and support business objectives.
  • Preparing various communications and public affairs materials including media statements, talking points, policy one-pagers, briefing documents, social media content, and media pitches.
  • Embedding external environmental assessments, policy objectives and stakeholder engagement into business unit's strategic and operating plan development and execution.
  • Working with business leaders to identify priority public policy, government affairs, and global public health/consumer access opportunities to maximize value to the business. Proactively identifying opportunities where external affairs initiatives advance business strategy, address issues, strengthen alignment and convey business mission, vision and priorities.
  • Proactively providing input and guidance on the development of company strategic and operational plans regarding major external public policy and stakeholder forces, including appropriate business responses.
  • Leading a coordinated approach to company trade association memberships, in partnership with commercial leaders, ensuring strong alignment to business objectives and resources, and regularly assessing progress/return on investment.
  • Cultivating and managing a strong network of key external stakeholders who can support strategic policy objectives.
  • Establish and strengthen credible thought-leadership and enhance company reputation with key external stakeholders including elected officials and their staff, regulatory authorities and government agencies, media, NGOs and advocacy groups.
  • Leading a team across LATAM to execute the strategy and drive advocacy engagement and impact at a local/market level through both employee engagement and external stakeholder strategies.
  • Member of the LATAM Leadership Team and the EMEA-LATAM Corporate Affairs Leadership Teams, contributing to strategic decision making in setting the direction of the business, offering counsel to leadership.
  • Collaborating with VP Corporate Affairs EMEA-LATAM to manage Corporate Affairs budget ensuring effective resource allocation across LATAM.
  • Recruiting, retaining, and developing the organization's talent.
  • Ensuring 100% compliance with internal and external policies, laws, and requirements.


What we are looking for

Required Qualifications
  • Successful candidate will possess at least 10 years of senior management experience in government affairs and public policy in LATAM with a particular expertise in Brazil.
  • Political, legislative, and/or public sector experience, combined with meaningful tenure in a large multinational corporation.
  • Deep understanding of the external environment and political decision-making process. Skilled judgement on positioning and tone of sensitive and complex issues is essential.
  • Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory decision-making processes in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and Chile.
  • Strong political grasp with proven track record of effective leadership, including cross-functional leadership of policy strategies and programs to support business objectives and build trust.
  • Strong understanding and relationship with local and regional media outlets.
  • Demonstrated track record of working with and earning the trust and confidence of high-profile corporate leaders or governmental or social leaders and serving as a trusted advisor/counselor.
  • Demonstrate communication and collaboration skills with an ability to manage and influence stakeholders in a matrix environment effectively.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and embrace change in a dynamic, rapidly growing environment.
  • A collaborative style: interactive with the courage and conviction to challenge and defend ideas and strategies; ability to offer creative pathways or alternative solutions both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to work 1) under pressure, 2) both independently and in a team environment, and 3) with all levels of the organization as well as government officials.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze policy issues and environment, and to communicate policy research and analysis findings to a variety of non-expert audiences both written and orally.
  • Experience in creating and managing complex projects.
  • Superior oral and written communications skills in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
