Location: São José dos Campos

Travel %: 10% (for training and suppliers visits)

Pay: Pay Grade 23 (if compliant with country laws)

What you will do

The Assistant Scientist for R& D Skin Health will be part of the Global Sun Development Center. It's a R& D Skin Health position focused on execute technical activities for project's pipeline to Skin Health Sun category as part of the Global Sun Development Center. This assistant scientist will have the technical operational responsibility by formula manipulation and scientific research's to support product development or generating technical background for technical solutions executing lab operational activities and writing technical documentation. Intellectual curiosity, technical & scientific interest for skin products, good communication and teamwork are skills considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform lab experiments related to formula development with innovative and strategic approach while applying consumer insights.

• Perform analytical and in-vitro analysis conducting technics as rheology, lumisizer, SPF prediction for sun care formulas to guarantee efficacy and robustness of them.

• Flexibility to understand products developed in other regions and conducted adapt implementation changes according to global alignments to the regional executing site.

• Ensure compliance with internal Kenvue guidelines or external legal authorities regulations considering global and regional requirements

• Plan DoEs and execute previous studies to screening of adapt formulas. Stablish a partnership with other regions to understand new formulas and manufacturing process.

• Conduct scientific analysis of the studies and align with the global patent team seeing opportunities of patents.

• Be part of technical teams to deliver scientific publication being or not the author of papers, posters, etc as researcher, writer or reviewer.

• Great sense of urgency is needed to respond the target dates and business achievements.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of bachelor's degree in industrial pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemistry Engineering or related areas is required. Graduate degree or specialization in cosmetology will be considered a differential.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as intern in R& D areas focused on formulated products or related areas of Cosmetic Industry or Chemical Industry is required.

• Intermediate English is required.

• Good communication, organizational, interpersonal and influence leadership skills

Desired Qualifications

• Previous experience with product development for sun care will be considered as a as a differential
