Schneider Electric is hiring a Virtual Area Sales Manager - Distribution in Telford, SHR. This is a full-time position.

We are looking for a Virtual Area Sales Representative with personal drive to deliver on sales targets, foster strong customer relationships in Distribution and contribute to the overall Schneider Electric growth plan. You will report to the UK& I Distribution Channel Lead.

Mission:

Schneider Electric is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Virtual Area Sales Representative to drive orders and sales growth, whilst strengthening our market share across Electrical Distribution.

Your mission is to grow our top line by utilising the exceptional brand and products at Schneider Electric, as well as a wealth of sales enablement tools including Salesforce CRM, Sales Gaps To Target and Statement Reports, a complete suite of dashboards and promotions.

Relationships are at the heart of this role's success, both with their customer base and internal network. The Virtual Area Sales Representative will work in lockstep with their field sales colleagues by owning the "desk based" selling activities and passing over opportunities to bid and win.

This is an important addition to Transactional Team and to our Distributor customers; the Virtual Area Sales Representative will be at the core of active decision making for a £350m BU to accelerate to £0.5bn by 2027.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a self-starter mindset and show an appetite to drive and contribute to overall growth through structured selling.

Your responsibilities:

    • Sales Ownership & Target Delivery: Take full accountability for achieving and exceeding sales and order targets across the Distribution Channel for your regions. This includes animation and structured selling through, but not exclusive to: Gaps to Target, SPA Management, Defined Call Lists, Value Added Drivers, Promotions (Sell In), Campaigns (Sell Out), New Offers/Focuses, Business Plans
    • Customer Engagement & Digital Interaction: Maintain high levels of customer-facing activity, through digital and virtual channels, to build strong, value-driven relationships.
    • Value Based Selling: Work with the channel team and your regional colleagues to execute the clearly defined sales plan across your portfolio, ensuring every interaction adds value.
    • Opportunity Scoping & Sharing: Identify and share opportunities, leveraging internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to support complex sales.
    • CRM & Data Discipline: Maintain accurate customer records, call logs, and customer action plans in Salesforce, ensuring reliable master data that aligned with business expectations.
    • Cross Sell, Up Sell and Take Share: Grow wallet share through upselling and cross-selling, as well as scoping opportunities to take share in your regions.
    • Campaign Execution: Actively engage and push Distribution campaigns, leveraging the power of both push & pull tactics to ensure partners buy-in, contributing to revenue growth.
    • Sales Culture Support: Support internal sales campaigns, contributing to planning, execution, and promotion of a strong sales culture within the team.
    • Strong Account Management: Build tight and collaborative relationships with your accounts, becoming the face and voice of Schneider Electric. Ensure that customers are supported and reminded of benefits of dealing with us over the competition to cement market share.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with external sales teams, business units, and service delivery to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.

Skills & Experience:

    • Sales experience, ideally within areas such as Home & Distribution, Buildings, or a comparable industry.
    • Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Teams, Outlook, and Salesforce.
    • Solid numerical literacy and strong verbal and written English skills.
    • Demonstrated drive, self-motivation, and sound business acumen.
    • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
    • Ability to work effectively within a results-driven team while also showing strong individual initiative.
    • Experience working with a channel-led organization is an advantage.
    • Basic knowledge of circuit protection products is considered a plus.
