Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Manufacturing Process Specialist to join our Synthetics Manufacturing team in Schaffhausen, Switzerland!

As a Manufacturing Process Specialist (MPS), you will play a crucial role in supporting our daily operational activities and driving continuous process improvement. You will collaborate with various teams and partners, including Quality, Manufacturing Science and Technology, and Maintenance & Engineering, to develop innovative solutions. This requires an end-to-end mind-set in manufacturing processes and related systems. This position offers a one-of-a-kind chance to be part of a world-class company that prioritizes innovation, environmental stewardship, and employee development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary operations contact person for relevant departments

  • Support and lead projects or improvement activities

  • Ensure safe and GMP-compliant production by processing non-conformances, investigating deviations, and defining corrective measures

  • Evaluate production downtime and continuously improve processes

  • Development of the Synthetics Manufacturing API operations team

  • Build and maintain production and cleaning recipes in the related systems

  • Collaborate closely with operating personnel and shift supervisors

  • Build and revise work instructions and operating procedures

  • Deputy operations manager

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemical or mechanical engineering. Equivalent experience will be considered.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Proven expertise in managing operations, coordinating projects, and leading important initiatives.

  • Profound interest in technology and manufacturing systems

  • Robust problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Hands-on mentality and strong decision-making ability

  • Striving for continuous personal development and embodying this aspect in leadership style

  • Strong collaboration skills required to work effectively with diverse teams and individuals at all organizational levels.

  • Proficiency in oral and written communication in German and English

Preferred:

  • Experience in the Healthcare industry
