Software Development Engineer with a focus on
Automation / Automation Engineering in the area of
LabVIEW / #, you will work in our Automation & Software department within R& D. In close collaboration with colleagues from the
New Product Introduction (NPI) department, you will be responsible for the further development and maintenance of our production stations for laser systems. Your responsibilities include the following:
Responsibilities: - You continuously develop and maintain existing software applications for robot-assisted laser manufacturing based on established software architectures.
- You contribute to the development of processes and algorithms for the alignment of optical components used in laser assembly.
- You support the selection of automation hardware (motion control/robotics, digital/analog I/O, measurement technology) and participate in the development of software modules for their control.
- You conduct tests and analyses to evaluate the feasibility of solution approaches and take part in feasibility studies as well as the development of prototypes and products.
- You are part of various project teams responsible for analyzing and introducing hardware components for the automated (micro-) assembly of optical assemblies and lasers.
Skills & Qualifications: - Successfully completed degree in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, or a comparable field.
- Experience with LabVIEW, #, and Python is desirable.
- Confident handling of version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Experience working with database systems.
- Very good German and English skills in both written and spoken form.
- Analytical and structured working style combined with strong solution-oriented thinking.
