About the Role
Independently conducts complex credit analysis and supports the structuring of commercial loan relationships. Partners closely with Business Bankers to prepare high-quality credit arrangements, provides advanced financial insights, and ensures compliance with lending policies and timelines. Serves as a mentor and resource to junior analysts, leads training efforts, and contributes to department process improvements and credit administration.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
    • Independently analyze complex borrower financials, identify trends and risk factors, and prepare detailed credit arrangements in partnership with Business Bankers to support sound lending decisions.
    • Attend and participate in weekly loan committee meetings, providing expert-level input and responding to questions regarding financial analysis, loan structure, and borrower performance.
    • Monitor credit approval timelines and assist Business Bankers with the timely completion of credit memos and annual reviews in alignment with internal lending guidelines.
    • Engage directly with clients when needed to clarify financial data, assist with credit-related questions, and serve as a secondary point of contact in the lender’s absence.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Expertise in interpreting complex financial statements, identifying credit risks, and preparing thorough and accurate credit arrangements.
  • Strong ability to work closely with Business Bankers and clients, clearly communicate financial insights, and contribute to loan committee discussions.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple credit tasks with precision and ensuring compliance with internal credit policy, documentation standards, and deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently analyze complex financial statements and contribute to credit structuring and approval processes.
