About the Role

Manages more complex documentation for real estate, commercial, and agricultural loans. Works with relationship-based lending structures involving multiple pieces of collateral and various loan types. Applies knowledge of diverse regulations and documentation requirements, including real estate-specific rules and collateral layering.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Enters borrower and loan information in the loan documentation system for consumer, real estate, commercial, and agriculture loans. Ensures all required fields are completed accurately and the system generates correct documents in compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Conducts in-depth reviews of complex loan documents to confirm they are complete and accurate. Applies advanced knowledge of collateral structures and lending regulations to support accurate and compliant document generation.
  • Transfers finalized loan data into the core accounting system for all loan types, carefully reviewing lender instructions to ensure consistency and prevent downstream errors.
  • Independently troubleshoots and resolves moderately complex issues, collaborating with other departments to correct data issues and ensure compliance with lending instructions and regulatory standards.
  • Manually reviews incoming loan payments that cannot be processed through automation, such as overpayments or payments with special instructions. Follows established procedures to determine appropriate handling and ensure accurate processing.
  • Independently reviews exception and reconciliation reports for the full loan portfolio. Collaborates with internal teams to correct data issues and ensure compliance with lending instructions and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinates the end-to-end processing of promotional mailing programs. Validates eligible customers, ensures accurate loan setup or extension application based on customer responses, and follows outlined procedures to maintain consistency, compliance, and timely execution.
  • Coordinates weekly updates to rate index values in loan document preparation software to reflect changes in the lending base rate. Ensures new loan originations apply the correct rate by accurately updating system settings in alignment with rate adjustments.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Applies solid understanding of numerical concepts. Analyzes discrepancies, identifies root causes, and implements solutions.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with internal teams, external vendors, and customers. Builds positive working relationships and contributes to a collaborative team environment.
  • Effectively prioritizes and manages multiple responsibilities. Handles high volumes of data and transactions while maintaining accuracy.
  • Exhibits a high level of accuracy and precision when reviewing or processing information.
  • Proficiency in using standard office software with strong computer literacy is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of banking concepts is preferred.
