Based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow, with travel throughout Scotland

Salary circa £24, 638 negotiable based on skills and experience

This is a great job opportunity for a Housing Assistant to join Home Groups awesome housing team in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Typical day as our Mid-Market Rent Housing Assistant

• Through visibility, engagement with customers and pro-activity on our estates, you’ll really get to get to know our communities.
• You’ll support our housing managers to look after their patches helping us to improve our local neighbourhoods.
• Supporting with tasks such as managing our voids processes which includes liaising with local authorities, estate inspections, engaging and meeting with contractors on site.
• You’ll carry out and record the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities.
• You’ll also manage the admin updating records, ordering, and arranging payment for works to be done.

You bring

• A “can do” positive attitude, you’re proactive and well organised, able to work on your initiative.
• A real passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help your customers.
• Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business and external partners
• An understanding of housing management, housing law and universal credit would be ideal, but they’re not deal breakers!
• The ability to use technology to navigate our systems and update customer records

Our team

You’ll join Wendy and our Private Sector Team for Mid Market and Factoring services, we’re super passionate about what we do! We’re really proud of the recent new build projects at the Meat Market and Kennyhill Square in Glasgow. We’re a supportive bunch and like to achieve goals together.

Job details

• This is a hybrid role
• There may be some flexibility to adapt your working hours, do let us know about this when you meet us at the interview
• We mainly work Monday to Friday and work occasional evenings to meet with customers. The great news is that you’ll be able to shape your own diary.
• To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!
• You’ll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
