Description:

The Packaging Lead Specialist is responsible for the performance of the department and must be in support of the overall department’s performance goals. The Packaging Lead Specialist will assist the Packaging Operations Supervisor with the oversight of production and personnel. The Packaging Lead Specialist will work a continuous work week schedule as required by production demands. This position will also assist in identifying areas for process improvement within the department. The Packaging Lead Specialist will work closely with all Packaging Personnel to ensure efficient and effect work flow. The Packaging Lead Specialist will fill in for the Packaging Operations Supervisor as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all SOPs, safety and health guidelines, and cGMP guidelines.
  • Maintain an operational knowledge of all packaging equipment and ancillary support equipment including control and communication devices used in the process.
  • Develop departmental personnel into high performing work teams.
  • Assists in the development of packaging process to improve efficiency.
  • Assist in the development of SOP’s and training for new equipment / processes.
  • Review and improve performance of equipment/processes as required.
  • Assist with, operational, and performance qualifications testing.
  • Develop methods to improve changeover effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Fill in on Packaging lines as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with tasks needed to fill in for Packaging Operations Supervisor .
  • Assist Packaging Operations Supervisor as needed.

Educational requirements:

  • high school

Desired Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Ability to establish priorities and meet quality expectations with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Effectively utilize both written and verbal communications skills with internal and external contacts
  • Prior cGMP experience preferred
