Fitter/Welder II

The Fitter/Welder is responsible for variety of weld preparation, MIG welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products to blueprints, customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. Pay range: $24-$28 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Use AWS D1.1 and D1.2 approved welding techniques to weld Aluminum and Steel componentsRead, interpret and fit to dimensions on detailed structural and pipe drawingsProcess inspection, certification, and documentation for job assignment(s)Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools as requiredUse of fitting tools, including, but not limited to tape measure, square & angles, protractor degreesComplete and understand all necessary weld/machine setup parameters (amps, volts, etc.)Use safe work habits and adhere to all safety regulations and requirementsPerform work in adherence with Lean Manufacturing conceptsMaintain clean, organizedsafe working environment with equipment and materials located in proper locations in accordance with 5S standardsAdhere to all Quality Standards as responsible for quality of own workPerform other job duties as assignedMust have experience as a fitter
