ReGenesis Health Care, a nonprofit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is seeking an experienced Medical Coding Coordinator to help lead coding quality, compliance, provider education, and workflow improvement across our organization. This position is ideal for a coding professional who enjoys analyzing complex coding issues, conducting audits, reducing denials, educating providers and staff, and identifying opportunities to improve reimbursement and documentation. You'll collaborate with providers, Revenue Cycle, Billing, Compliance, and Clinical Operations to support accurate reimbursement while maintaining compliance with applicable coding and payer requirements. Hybrid Remote Position This position is primarily remote with occasional on-site responsibilities in Spartanburg, South Carolina, including meetings, training, audits, or other business needs. Candidates must be able to meet the position's on-site requirements when requested. Compensation $21.00$26.75 per hour, based on experience, certification, education, and qualifications. We offer: Competitive hourly compensationQuarterly incentive opportunitiesMedical, dental, vision, and life insuranceBenefits eligibility beginning the first day of the month following hire18 days of Paid Time Off9 paid holidays, including your birthday401(k) retirement plan with company matchProfessional development opportunitiesCollaborative, mission-driven work environmentOpportunity to positively impact coding quality, compliance, and revenue cycle performance What You'll Do As the Medical Coding Coordinator, you will: Review daily charges and coding for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate reimbursement.Audit provider documentation to ensure diagnoses and procedures are adequately supported.Review claims to ensure diagnosis and procedure codes are appropriately assigned and linked.Conduct coding audits and identify documentation, compliance, and reimbursement opportunities.Monitor coding accuracy and recommend corrective actions when issues are identified.Analyze claim denial trends and identify coding-related root causes.Partner with Revenue Cycle and Billing teams to develop strategies to reduce preventable denials.Provide coding education, coaching, and ongoing support to providers, coders, and clinical staff.Communicate documentation and coding improvement opportunities to providers and leadership.Develop, implement, and maintain coding workflows, processes, policies, and procedures.Monitor applicable coding, payer, and regulatory updates and communicate changes to appropriate stakeholders.Support compliance with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements.Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Billing, Compliance, Clinical Operations, and Provider Leadership.Assist with coding quality assurance and compliance initiatives.Provide leadership, guidance, and support to coding team members.Perform other duties as assigned.
