General Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for managing operational activities of the site(s). Responsible for all activities regarding
the management of employees, monitoring safety, implementing operational procedures, improving efficiencies, managing
assets and budgets, and any other requests or duties as assigned by the Vice President of Operations or upper-level management.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Oversee day-to-day warehouse and plant operations, ensuring timely and accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods for customer.
Develop and implement efficient workflows to manage diverse customer requirements.
Customer Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer representatives, addressing concerns and ensuring service levels are met across warehouse and plant operations.
Provide regular updates to customer on inventory, performance metrics, and compliance.
Collaborate with the customer to forecast needs and align warehouse and plant operations accordingly.
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse and plant staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and provide coaching to enhance employee skills.
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Inventory Control:
Ensure the warehouse and plant maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
Manage regular cycle count schedules and audits to minimize discrepancies.
Implement strategies to reduce shrinkage and enhance stock accuracy.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across warehouse and plant operations.
Conduct regular safety training and audits to maintain a safe working environment.
Facilitate the Team Member Safety Committee to help drive an effective safety culture at the site.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Analyze and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, turnaround times, and cost efficiency across warehouse and plant operations.
Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimize operations.
Prepare and present operational and financial reports to management and customers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven experience as a General Manager, preferably in an operation with warehouse and plant/production oversight.
Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills to manage diverse customer needs.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a focus on team building.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive process improvements.
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in a warehouse and plant setting.
Proven experience managing profit and loss (P& L) statements and budgets.
Applicants Must:

Education, Experience, and Certification
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of warehouse/manufacturing management experience.
Certification in operating a forklift.
